BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

The BruONZ Summer Games is an annual event for Brunei students studying in Australia and New Zealand while they are back in Brunei for the holidays. The Brunei Students’ Association of New Zealand (BSANZ) will be hosting the event this year. This is the second time BSANZ Otago will be hosting, the last time was back in 2012. This year is the first time BSANZ Auckland will be assisting in hosting the event. The Games, which include Badminton, Futsal, Netball and Dodgeball, kicked off on 4 January. They will conclude on 14 January with a Gala Dinner at The Rizqun International Hotel.

The Australian High Commission is proud to be sponsoring the Gala Dinner, which will begin with a networking session and will be attended by Australian High Commissioner, H.E. Nicola Rosenblum, and Brunei’s High Commissioner to New Zealand, Datin Tan Bee Yong. The event is an opportunity for students currently studying in Australia and New Zealand to meet with established and influential Bruneians who also studying in Australia and New Zealand.

All Bruneian students and alumni of Australia and New Zealand are invited to attend the gala dinner with their families. Tickets can be purchased online at http://bit.ly/2hQyL9o, by visiting the High Commission’s Facebook page ‘Australia in Brunei Darussalam’, or by contacting the BruONZ organising committee at [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected]

Besides the Australian High Commission, the BRUONZ committee would also like to thank our other sponsors for their support, including Fitness Zone, Findlay Services, DST, TAIB, Ideal, David Liaw Insurance Agency, Riza Printing, Sunlit Adveritising, Ratio, Jerudong Park, Rizqun International Hotel, Terminal One, Kamal Ringgit Insurance Agency and Supa Save.
