BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

As the theme for the 19th Consumer Fair, 'The Year is Yours; what will you do with it?', the organiser, D'Sunlit Sdn Bhd, has made a point to provide support and aid to those who need it.

With door gifts bought from the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei and the Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam (Pusat Ehsan), the event also features an assortment of activities hosted for the benefit of local non-profit organisations (NGOs).

A few of these activities comprise of the 'Tree of Hope', blood donation drive and also 'Face Your Fears'.

With its proceedings partially given to the Brunei Darussalam National Association for the Blind (BDNAB), the `Face Your Fears' allows visitors to not only conquer their fears but also test their wits.

Another charity activity would be the`Tree of Hope' for the Children's Cancer Foundation (YASKA).

The 'Tree of Hope' along with the donation boxes can be found in the red zone of the International Convention Centre (ICC). Donors can leave a message of hope and encouragement at the tree.

A blood donation drive will also be happening at the consumer fair on Saturday, January 21, from 10pm to 10pm.
