A 43-year old local man, who recently pleaded guilty to theft from his employer, was jailed for eight months by the Magistrate's Court.

Saffre bin Kamis stole eight hydrant valves from JW Shelter Enterprise's storage facility in Jalan Sungai Duhon during the wee hours on January 6, 2017.

DPP Raihan Nabilah AhmadGhazali facts of the case stated that the defendant sneaked into the building and brought the valves out piece by piece. He then sold them off.

The company manager realised the missing items later and filed a police report, leading to the defendant's arrest and recovery of the stolen valve

Senior Magistrate Haji Nabil Daraina bin Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Badaruddin presided over the case.
