Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan continue the efforts towards strengthening their existing friendship and bilateral relations.  One such effort was a courtesy call on the Speaker of the Legislative Council by the republic's High Commissioner to the country yesterday.

During yesterday's visit, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib and His Excellency (Retired) Major General Tariq Rashid Khan also discussed affairs and issues of mutual concern.

Also in attendance were Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Judin bin Haji Asar, the Secretary of the Council of Cabinet Ministers and Clerk of the Legislative Council, Dayang Rose Aminah binti Haji Ismail, the Deputy Clerk of the Legislative Council as well as several officers of the Department of Councils.  The courtesy call took place at the Department of Councils at Jalan Dewan Majlis.
