Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) held an educational talk and exhibition ceremony at Tarbiyyah Hall yesterday.

The guest of honour was Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, Acting Ra'es of KUPU SB.

The ceremony was organised by the Faculty of Usuluddin and Centre of Research and Understanding Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama'ah with the theme Aqidah Islamiah Kukuh, Iman Terpelihara'.

A forum was also held during the ceremony. Among the panellists of the forum were Ustaz Haji Matussein bin Haji Jumat, lecturer at the Faculty of Usuluddin (KUPU SB); Ustaz Abdul Kadir bin Abdul Rahman, a representative from Religious Enforcement Division at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Ustazah Dayangku Norhayati binti Pengiran Haji Kashran, a representative from the Islamic Da'wah Centre, while the moderator was Ustazah Dayangku Katijah binti Pengiran Sulaiman, assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Education (KUPU SB).

Among the objectives of the ceremony were to strengthen cooperation between the faculties of Usuluddin, Centre of Research and Understanding Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama'ah, the Islamic Da'wah Centre and Religious Enforcement Division at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, as well as to instil a sense o love towards the teaching and Islamic Da'wah as well as to strengthen Islamic belief in accordance with Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama'ah among the public and students.

In addition, the event also pointed out matters related to heresy and superstitions with the aim of providing awareness and its effects on the community and to create creative students in applying theories that they have learnt
