Local Charged With Drug Trafficking, Consuming, Possession of Utensils

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

 

A local man yesterday pleaded guilty. in the Magistrate's Court to four charges of traking and consuming drugs as well as the possession of drug utensils and poison.

 

Mohammad Zahiruddin bin Haji Zaini was arrested in a raid conducted by the Narcotics Control Bureau officers at a house in Kampong Mata-Mata at 1.21am on September 21, 2013.Officers found 41.625 grammes of Cannabis, 12.9212 grammes of Nicotine contained in non-distinct receptacles and some drug utensils.

 

Officers also found $1,162 cash which the defendant admitted was proceeds from drugs sales.
Chief Magistrate Muhammed Faisal bin Pehin Dato Kefli fixed sentencing to be passed on January 23,.
DPP Atiyyah Abas represented the Public Prosecutor in the case.
