Local drummers and percussionists who will be performing at the 'Hundred Beats 2016' drums and percussion festival on April 2 at the Jerudong Park Colonnade, showcased their talent at a promotional tour for the festival held at Lecture Theatre 2, Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) yesterday.

UTB students had the opportunity to purchase early bird tickets at a promotional price, watch the musicians perform drum and percussion solo's and in unison, ask the musicians regarding drums and percussion, and try out the instruments.

The festival is co-organised by the Jerudong Park Country Club and the KaMaLoKo Entertainment Group and will feature more than 30 local drummers and percussionists who apart from the traditional drum set, will be playing percussion instruments such as djembe, timbal, bongo, gong as well as recycled plastic drums.

The festival name signifies the different beats generated from musicians of different styles and genres.

Another teaser for those who purchased early bird tickets at UTB yesterday will be held in Jerudong Park on March 26.

For members of the public who wish to purchase entry tickets, can contact Dayang Evy Vaizura binti Haji Abdul Raup at +673-896-6653.
