The second day of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) swimming competition hosted by International School Brunei (ISB) continued yesterday at the National Aquatic Centre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium Sports Complex in Berakas.

 

Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman attended the event to witness Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah in the Boys 9-10 Years Old 200m Medley Relay event.


Also present were Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah binti Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Mudà Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah.


Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim, who represented International School Brunei, also swam in the Boys 9-10 Years Old 100m Freestyle event.


Among the teams were Tiger Shark from Bangkok Patana School, Bulldog from Bangkok Prep, British International School Kuala Lumpur, the British School Manila, DulwichCollege Seoul, ELC International School fro& Selangor, Malaysia, BSJ Electric Eels, Harrow International School from Bangkok, Hammerheads from International School Brunei, ISP Uplands, Jerudong International School, STA Marlins, and Wellington College International School from Shanghai.


FOBISIA was established in 1988 with just five members and is now a federation with 52 British-curriculum International Schools throughout Asia. Together they provide a platform for schools to network, share best practices, and provide opportunity for inter-school competitions and enrichment programmes.
