A local man was ordered to pay a fine of $1,200, or serve two months' imprisonment in default of payment, after he pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court yesterday to a charge of possession of controlled drugs.

Hussain to being in possession of 0.1065 grammes of methylamphetamine on March 17, 2014.

Narcotics Control Bureau prosecutor Norizan Jaya informed the court that the defendant was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau officers at his girlfriend's house in RPN Kampong Lambak Kanan and was found in possession of the Class A drug.
