His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has consented to send messages of congratulations to Sir General Peter Cosgrove, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia; and Malcolm Turnbull, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia as well as the Government and the people of Australia on the occasion of Australia Day.

Also His Majesty has consented to send congratulatory messages to Shri Pranab Mukherjee, President of the Republic of India; and Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India on the occasion of the Republic Day of India.

In the message to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Majesty conveyed his great appreciation for the longstanding and warm friendship shared between the two countries, particularly the youth and student exchanges, and looked forward to continuing these important relations in the years to come.

And in the message to the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction working with the prime minister in enhancing thewarm friendship and cooperation including the successful outcome of the First Asean-Australia Biennial Summit in Laos last year.

While in the messages to the President of the Republic of India, His Majesty expressed his great appreciation, the much-valued ties and close cooperation between the governments and people of both countries and looked forward to working with the president to further strengthen these important relations in the coming years.

And in the messages to the Prime Minister of the Republic of India,His Majesty expressed his great satisfaction that the longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and people continue to deepen and looked forward to strengthening the bilateral and international cooperation, especially as Asean celebrates its 25 years of Asean-India Dialogues partnership and commemorate India's contributions and supports to the regional development.

In ending the messages to the Governor-General and the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Majesty expressed his kindest regards and best wishes for a joyous celebration and for good health and happiness to the Governor-General and Prime Minister of the of the Commonwealth of Australia as well as for the prosperity of the people of Australia.

While in ending the messages to President and Prime Minister of the Republic of India, His Majesty expressed his kindest regards and best wishes for the continued good health and happiness to the president and prime minister as well as for the progress and prosperity of the country and people of the Republic of India.
