Vietnamese leaders paid tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Ha Noi yesterday in celebration of the 87th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (February 3, 1930).
The leaders included Party General Secretary Nguyen Phú Trọng, President Tran Đại Quang, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phúc, and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thị Kim Ngan, among others.
The activity aims to commemorate late President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Party, who made great, remarkable contributions to the country’s revolutionary cause.
The leaders later offered incense at the Heroic Martyrs Monument on Bac Son Road and Mai Dịch Cemetery in Ha Noi.
The birth of the Communist Party of Viet Nam on February 3, 1930 was an important historical event and a turning-point in the history of the Vietnamese revolution, marking a milestone in the country’s development. — VNS
