2 Malaysia Nationals Receive Fine for Gambling

Two Malaysian men were ordered to pay fines of $800 or serve a month's jail sentence in default of payment after they pleaded guilty to playing in a common gaming house.
Chai Han Hua, 42, and Kennedy Wong Kim Hui, 29, played in a common gaming house at an unnumbered wooden house in Kampong Baru, Seria, at 4.10am on December 4, 2010.
Prosecutor Dr Hassid Ali Idris informed Presiding Magistrate Dew Norlelawati bind Haji Abdul Hamid in the Kuala Belait Magistrate's Court that the duo were arrested in a raid conducted by the Anti-Vice and Gambling Suppression Unit police who found the defendants, evidence relating to gambling and money used for gambling at the scene.
