Yesterday, the Magistrate’s Court produced a culpable homicide of the late 44-year-old Haji Aziz bin Haji Johara on 12th January, in the area of Kuala Lurah Control Post, by a suspect. Detailed information on the investigations of the case were produced during the prosecution.

Moryadi bin Haji Yahya is charged of assisting a conspiracy to commit culpable homicide not amounting to murder on the deceased, with the intent of causing bodily harm that is likely to cause death.

Magistrate Haja Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman was informed by DPP Nurjauinah binti Haji Kula that more investigations need to be run in light of surfacing evidences.

Life imprisonment sentence is the punishment for the crime of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, at the same time abetment to it carries the same weight of punishment.

The court has ordered Moryadi to come back on 20th February to assist the investigations while under police custody.
