Murder Case Given Further Remand

A case in which two local men allegedly involved in a conspiracy of the culpable homicide linked to the death of a local man at the Kuala Lurah Control Post were adjourned by the Magistrate Court.
Supariddin bin Haji Mat Jinin, represented by Defence Counsel Sheikh Noordin bin Sheikh Mohammad, and Haji Tuah bin Haji Tarip, represented by Lt Col (Rtd) Harif Ibrahim, were found to be involved in a conspiracy to commit culpable homicide, not amounting to murder, of 44-year-old Haji Aziz bin Haji Johara during the wee hours of January 12 at the Kuala Lurah Control Post.
DPP Siti Nurjauinah binti Hap Kula informed the court that police are still processing the evidence found in the case. Senior Magistrate Haji Nabil Daraina bin Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin ordered the defendants further remanded and fixed the case for further mention on February 20, 2017.
In a case heard before Chief Magistrate Muhammed Faisal bin Pehin Dato Haji Kefli, Yusree bin Haji Ya'akub@ Yakub is also alleged to have been involved in a conspiracy to commit culpable homicide not amounting to murder, of 44-year-old Haji Aziz in the early hours of January 12, at the Kuala Lurah Control Post.
DPP Siti Nurjauinah Haji Kula informed the court that the police needed to conduct further investigations into the case. Chief Magistrate Muhammed Faisal ordered the defendant to be further remanded, and has fixed the case for further mention on February 27, 2017.
