Bandar Seri Begawan

A Filipino national was given time by the Magistrate’s Court to consider her plea to a charge of bribing a police officer. The case was adjourned to March 1.

Dennis Perez Tayag is reportedly to have bribed a traffic police officer to avoid any action taken against her for running a red light at an intersection, in Kampong Bengkurong.

Senior Magistrate Haji Nabil Daraina bin Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Badaruddin released the defendant on a bail of $5,000 or in one local surety, with her passport impounded.

DPP Dayangku Hazirah binti Pengiran Yusoff represented the Public Prosecutor in the case.
