The Japanese Language and Cultural Week of 2017 was officially launched last night at the Times Square Shopping Centre in Berakas.

Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, and his spouse officiated the cultural event.

The Japanese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Noriko Iki, said in her welcoming remarks that the three-day event would be featuring performances from a traditional Japanese drum ensemble, contemporary Japanese painting, cooking demonstrations, Kendo performances, quiz shows and kite-making workshops.
