Housemates Devise Ultimate Trap To Get Rat Out Of House

This is probably the most elaborate trap ever set for a rat.

It was dreamt up by four students from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, United States.

When they couldn’t get someone from pest control out they came up with a scheme to get rid of their unwelcome guest themselves.

‘We were all freaking out,’ house member Jody Mackin told Buzzfeed.

Their solution was to create a path down the stairs by blocking the rat off.

The plan was then put into motion after one of the girls forced the rodent out of the bathroom.

It then ran down the stairs in what looked like a chase sequence from an Indiana Jones movie.

But just when it looked like it might go to another room downstairs, one the housemate’s boyfriends stepped up and whacked it out of the door with a broom.
