Bizarre Moment A Scottish Man Swims In Puddle

 February 21st, 2017  |  11:39 AM  |   2035 views

You know that feeling when you walk past a giant puddle and wish you could strip off, throwing caution and road sense to the strong Scottish wind and immerse yourself in questionable water?

Me neither.

(ahem).

Yet, this was the overwhelming urge for one man, as he spent yesterday doing various swimming strokes in a giant road puddle.

Paul McGrorty, from Bathgate, West Lothian, can be seen stripping before jumping into the large puddle, as his friends egged him on and filmed.

Despite the water being only inches deep, he tries out strokes, including front crawl and butterfly, whilst his friends laugh uncontrollably in the background.

The video has been viewed 64,000 times since being shared by Paul’s friend Rhys Minnock yesterday afternoon, with the caption ‘Sunday funday’.

Asked why he jumped in the puddle, Paul said: ‘You ken what it’s like, you see a puddle and you’re in it.’

Rhys added: ‘Yeah that’s just what we do on Sundays.’
