The reading of Surah Yassin and Tahlil ceremony for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit was held yesterday afternoon in conjunction with the Prisons Department 63 years of establishment.

Present was Awang Haji Idris bin Haji Mohammad Ali, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Also present was Awang Haji Ismail bin Haji Murat, Acting Director of Prisons. The reading of Yassin and Tahlil was led by Awang Sabtu bin Haji Abdul Ghani, the Prisons Officer. The establishment of Prisons Department is celebrated every 1st of March.
