158 Year 7 Students Attend National Briefing Programme

A briefing titled, ‘Appreciating The National Anthem and National Flag’ was held for Year 7 students at the Menglait Secondary School. The briefing was organised by the Information Department under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). The briefing aimed to instil patriotism in the students as well as to develop respect towards the national anthem and flag.
A total of 158 Year 7 students from different schools attended the briefing which was led by Hajah Rosidah binti Haji Ismail, an Information Officer.
Among the activities in the briefing was the proper way to raise the national flag and the history behind the national anthem, ‘Allah Peliharakan Sultan’.
A video clip titled 'Kibarkanlah Dengan Megah Bendera Negara' and `Kibarkanlah Bendera Negara Kitani' as well as an animation titled `Tatacara Mengibarkan Bendera' was also shown to the students.
Also, a quiz was conducted by Muhammad Khaiddir Shah bin Haji Abdul Halim, External Information Officer.
The briefing ended with a prize presentation to the students who managed to answer the quiz.
Cikgu Mohidin bin Haji Noordin, the school's principal as well as school teachers were present during the event.
