Awang Semaun Secondary School Holds Silent Reading Session

In an effort to improve students’ reading skills, Awang Semaun Secondary School held a mass silent reading session in conjunction with UK’s World Book Day celebration. It is also to mark the soft launching of the school’s 2017 literacy programme.
The event was held at the school hall attended by students, teachers and non-teaching staff members. Individual brought their own reading material which includes fiction and non-fiction books, comics, magazine and newspapers in different languages.
The Language Department, librarians, staff and members of the community provided some reading materials as well.
