The Youth Tilawah Al-Quran Reading Scheme is the only educational programme that organised Al-Quran reading in tarannum or melodic Quran reading methods. The scheme has produced many youth Quran readers participating in the Al-Quran reading competition at national and international level. Yesterday, the invited qaris for the Finals of the National Quran Reading Musabaqah For Adults made a visit to the Youth Tilawah Al-Quran Reading Scheme in Beribi Religious School.

During the visit, the invited qaris - Sheikh Yasser Mahmoud Abdel Khalek Ahmed from the Arab Republic of Egypt and Muhammad Ali bin Haji Mamnun from Republic of Indonesia presented their Al-Quran reading, followed by a dialogue session.  Also present was Dayang Hajijah binti Haji Moktal, the Acting Director of Islamic Studies Department.  The visit among other things aimed to give encouragement and motivation to the scheme participants as well as to share their experience on the art of reading Al-Quran in tarannum.
