Life is full of trials, challenges and obstacles that demands strong faith and piety to keep a person on the right path and not commit sins. The faithful ones must have taqwa or fear of Allah the Almighty to avoid becoming hypocrites, or those who claim they are faithful to Allah although they are not. The friday sermon focused on the hypocrites.
The Khutbah or sermon explained the munfikin or hypocrites are divided into two categories, one in the aspect of faith and the other in aspects of deeds and practices. In the Verse of An-Nisa in Al-Quran, Allah the Most Sublime says "Verily, the hypocrites are placed in the lowest level of Hell. You will never find anyone who can help them."
Hence, the prayer leaders said, to avoid becoming hypocrites, the Muslims must know, emulate and practise the noble character of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam as a trustworthy, honest and intelligent leader and preacher of Islam.
The sermon added to avoid being a hypocrite one has to be devout to Allah the Almighty, be honest, trustworthy, never break promises and be truthful always truthful. The prayer leaders also reminded never accept something in trust if you cannot one fulfil it.
