On fishery activities, the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism explained that the ministry has offered fishery areas throughout the country including for breeding fish and prawns. Several other areas are set aside for breeding various species of fish using the latest technology.

The Minister said the Ministry has offered fishery areas in Kampung Sungai Paku, Kampung Keramut and Sungai Penyatang in Tutong District and Pengkalan Sibabau, Kampung Serasa and Kampung Meragang in Brunei Muara District for fish and prawn hatchery, nursery and breeding activities, Tanjung Pelumpong waters at Kuala Sungai Brunei and Pulau Pilong-Pilongan waters for cage-breeding of various species of fish and Sungai Jambu in Kampung Katok for the breeding of fish and ornamental fish using the vertical fish farming technology.
