Royal Attends Royalties Membership Ceremony

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah binti His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah yesterday graced the Royalties Membership Ceremony held in conjunction with the 5th General Assembly Friends of Asia Pacific Region World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, FAPW.
Also in attendance was Kebawah Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Puan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Al-Marhum Al-Mutawakkil Al-Allah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, Royal Patron of FAPW. The function took place at the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong.
Upon arrival, Her Royal Highness as the President of the Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association was greeted by Dayang Hajah Siti Hafsah binti Haji Abdul Halim, Chief Commissioner of the Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association. Also present were Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah binti His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna binti Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar `Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien.
The ceremony began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Dayang Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Abdul Ghani, Spiritual Commissioner of the Association. At the function, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah received the Royalties membership pin from Kebawah Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Puan Pahang. Also receiving the pin were Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah.
Her Royal Highness and Kebawah Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Puan Pahang as well as other members of the royal family then proceeded to the International Bazaar sales. 13 nations from the Asia-Pacific region attending this year's general assembly, including Malaysia and Singapore, take part in the bazaar. The sales profit will be channelled to the World Association of Girl Guide and Girl Scout, WAGGGS Fund. So far, FAPW has 3 point 6 million members throughout Asia-Pacific.
