Yesterday's session also heard the proposed budget allocation for the Ministry of Health for the Financial Year 2017-2018. $223,880,340 was proposed for the Ministry of Health. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, Minister of Health, in his opening remarks underscored the main expenditures of the ministry.

Yang Berhormat said that the main expenditure for the Ministry of Health throughout 2015 to 2020 is focused on three strategic priorities. First, instilling that health is the responsibility of all. Second - preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases and third - providing excellent service through consolidation and alignment of healthcare services.
