In his adjournment speech the Minister of Religious Affairs explained the country's independence resolve is to always strive for the peace, security, welfare and prosperity of the people. Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman said the resolve will be accomplished through the country's development plans.

Yang Berhormat Pehin stresses that the post-independence generation especially must focus on the responsibility of independence and strive to accomplish and fulfil the resolve of country to remain as the Malay Islamic Monarchy of Brunei Darussalam.  They are the future but starting now they must strengthen their leadership in the context of the Malay Islamic Monarchy MIB concept or mould of the country. The Minister added while working hard to achieve the independence resolve of MIB, never forget the target is peace and security.  To achieve the people's wellbeing and happiness, the MIB is the country's foundation.
