Doa Kesyukuran in Conjunction with the International Day of Forests

The International Day of Forests is celebrated throughout the world on the 21st of March each year. In conjunction with the celebration, the Forestry Department held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony last evening at the Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong.

 

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. The function began with the mass Fardhu Maghrib prayer, followed by the reading of Surah Yasin, Doa Selamat and the mass Fardhu Isyak prayer. Also present were Doctor Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and Awang Wardi Bin Haji Mohammad Ali, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
