Water Services Department Holds Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony

Brunei Darussalam celebrated the World Water Day with a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony organised by the Water Services Department. The celebration aimed to further raise awareness on the importance of efficient water usage and supporting a sustainable water source management in our daily life. The ceremony took place at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
Present was Dato Paduka Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, Deputy Minister of Development as the personal representative for the Ministry. The ceremony began with the mass Fardhu Maghrib and Sunat Hajat Prayers, followed by the Doa Kesyukuran. The ceremony also included a special talk which stressed on the awareness and practices of saving water as well as preventing from wastage from Islamic views. The talk was delivered by Doctorandus Haji Ismuhadi bin Haji Abdullah, a lecturer from the Islamic Dakwah Centre. Also in attendance were Awang Haji Muhammad Lutfi bin Abdullah, Permanent Secretary for Administration and Finance, Awang Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin, Permanent Secretary (Technical and Professional) and Doctor Dayang Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development.
