Closing Of the 22nd National Scouts Camp

The 22nd National Scouts Camp conducted a number of activities in training the participants to become useful citizens to themselves, their families, the community, religion and the nation. Five hundred scouts participated in the 5-day camping programme that ended today.
The climax of the closing ceremony yesterday morning was the presentation of certificates to the participants. The certificates was handed over by Doctor Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, the Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education to representatives of the contingents.
The participants included more than one hundred foreign scouts. With the theme, "Building the Personality of the Young Generation through Scouting," the camp was also an effort to build leadership qualities starting from the grass roots level. There were various challenging activities such as obstacle track, jungle cooking and 'flying fox'. The activities provided opportunities for the scouts to develop their mind, body and spirit as well as foster friendship and environmental awareness.
