Earth Hour's Blindfolded Dinner
In conjunction with the worldwide Earth Hour, Sentral Shopping Centre (KBSentral) in Kuala Belait organized the Dinner Blindfolded event held at the atrium area of the mall last Saturday night.
Customers and visitors participated the activities held which included a 4 meal course supported by the FreshCo stores such as the All Season, Waroeng Penyet, Pastamania and Sushi Tei restaurants.
A series of activities were organized for the participants which included placing shaped blocks into the right holes. These short activities are executed under the guidance of the KBSentral Event Management staff in order to stimulate the participant’s senses before having their dinner in the dark.
“Correct me if I’m wrong but this is the perhaps the first time such an event of this kind is held,” stated Ahmad Anwar Bin Haji Rosly, KBSentral Shopping Centre’s Marketing and Event manager.
The objective of this event is to raise awareness about the blind and visually impaired; and change the society’s perspectives to the disabled. The event ended with appreciation tokens for those taking part in the event.
