The Kampong Kapok Village Consultative Council (MPK) recently received a delegation from the Women Bureau of Kampong Puni Village Consultative Council (MPK) from Temburong District at the residence of Haji Marali Haji Ahmad, Kampong Kapok Village Head.

The delegation was led by Major (Rtd) Ampuan Hussain bin Ampuan Mattahir @ Awang, Village Head of Kampung Menengah in his capacity as Acting Village Head of Kampong Puni and Penghulu of Mukim Bangar.

The delegation was briefed on the background of the MPK Kampong Kapok including its social economic activities by Haji Marali bin Haji Ahmad, Village Head of Kampong Kapok; who is also the Chairman of the council.

The delegation was presented with the products produced by the village and they toured around the photo exhibition showcasing the activities of the village.

The delegation also witnessed cultural performances and the process of making of 'Kerepek Pisang'.

Kampung Kapok established a banana plantation in April 2014.

In growing the fruit the village sought to reduce the cost of making banana-flavoured crisps, its product under the government's 'One Village, One Product' initiative.
