BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
Members of the public are welcome to take part in a competition organised by the Land Transport Department (JPD) for core designs and patterns to be positioned on public buses in Brunei.
The design competition is open to the country's citizens and residents.
Participants are permitted to send in as many entries as possible, using the official form from JPD, with a description of the design and pattern to be enclosed separately.
Designs and patterns must be simple and contemporary, following the Sultanate's Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) concept as well as the country's vision of Zikir Nation (Remembrance).
Letters must be in the Times New Roman font and every pattern must use no more than four colours (excluding black and white).
The pattern must be clear and printed on A3 paper.
Every entry must be submitted in softcopy (DVD - Jpeg, TIFF or PNG) and hardcopy - on A3 paper and in landscape format placed on a black mounting board with a frame measuring one inch around the paper.
More information on the criteria can be found on the official form, which can be obtained from the JPD headquarters of the Ministry of Communications (MinCom).
JPD urged those interested to take note of the requirements and regulations before forwarding their entries, and the deadline is on May 2.
The first prize winner will walk away with $1,500 in cash, while second and third place winners will receive $1,000 and $500 respectively.
