Malaysian Woman in Court for Using Mother's Passport to Enter Brunei

A Malaysian woman was ordered by the Bandar Magistrate's Court to pay a $2,000 fine or serve two months' imprisonment in default, after she pleaded guilty to using someone else's passport to travel across the Brunei-Miri
border.
Izzati Fitriyah Abdullah Yong, a 37-year-old, was found in possession of her mother's passport by the officer at the Sungai Tujoh Immigration Control Post on April 13.
DPP Emily Goh represented the prosecution, while Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman presided over the case.
