Express Bus Crashes Into Stalled Trailer, One Dead

The driver of an express bus was killed when his vehicle crashed into a parked trailer in Lipis.

 

The double-decker bus, with 39 passengers on board, hit the stalled trailer near Kampung Kubang Rusa, Jalan Lipis-Merapoh in the early hours of Thursday.

 

It is understood that the Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 2.32am and arrived at the scene at 3.21am.

 

The male bus driver died at the scene while the second driver and two female passengers were injured in the accident.

 

A spokeswoman from the Lipis police headquarters said the injured victims had been sent to Hospital Gua Musang in Kelantan for treatment.

 

The body of the deceased has been sent to Hospital Lipis for a post-mortem.
