Sometimes the jokes just write themselves.

In a perfect moment, two police officers were filmed chasing a runaway pig in Redbridge, London.

The hilarious clip that looks like it has come straight out of a comedy movie was captured by a parked cop car’s dashcam, and posted on Twitter.

Sit back and enjoy the video – we’ve even added a slow-mo version so you can fully appreciate it.

The two officers can be seen trying to grab the escaped pig as it trots away from them.

Hilariously, a jogger races into the animal’s path and looks like he’s considering being the hero, before having second thoughts and darting out of the way at the last second.
