Long Service Honorary Medal Award Ceremony

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
A total of 126 civil officers and staff of the Ministry of Defence were awarded the Pingat Kerja Lama or Long Service Medal. The conferment ceremony was held in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam's 70th Birthday celebration.
The ceremony took place at the Wira Seni Concert Hall, Royal Brunei Armed Forces Band Building. The awards were presented by (Retired) First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, Deputy Minister of Defence.
The award is an honour and appreciation of His Majesty's government to the recipients for their services and contributions. Also present was Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces and (Retired) Captain Abdul Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence. Serving with full dedication and having high discipline in carrying out their responsibilities and trust were among the qualities that the recipients adhere to.
