Information Muzakarah Programme

 April 21st, 2017  |  09:29 AM  |   625 views

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

The Information Department's Muzakarah or Discussion Programme is an avenue for Mukim and Kampung residents to express views and voice their problems as they seek explanations from the relevant government agencies.  It is also evidence of the good rapport between the government and the community in creating prosperity, harmony and unity.

The matter was highlighted by Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad, the Acting Director of Information who chaired the 2017 Information Muzakarah Programme for Mukim Kilanas. Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad also said in line with the function and responsibility of the Information Department as the government official media, information such as current issues and government policies can be clarified and shared through the programme.  It also facilitates feedback for the relevant government agencies to evaluate and act upon.

The panellists consisted of Heads of Department, their deputies or assistants and senior government officers. The programme is aimed at improving the close relations between the government in general and the Information department in particular with the community. It also shows the government's awareness and concern in ensuring the people live in peace and prosperity, as well as improving credibility in the eyes of the people. The Information Muzakarah Programme also provides mukim and kampung residents with the proper medium to voice their problems in order for the appropriate government agencies to consider or provide explanations or clarifications on the issues.
