The Establishment and Appointment of Nationwide School Leaders Executive Committee Council is now known as the Brunei Darussalam School Leaders Council, MPSBD.  Its role is that of a forum for school leaders to discuss, exchange views and opinions.

This is achieved through sharing experience and knowledge on issues for common interest and best practices in education for the purpose of improving knowledge and skills in school leadership.  The Officiating and Appointment of the Council's Executive Committee was held this afternoon. Certificates of Appointment to the MPSBD Executive Committee members were handed over by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi Bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education. Also present was Dr. Haji Azman bin Haji Ahmad, the Acting Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education.

The MPSBD is also a platform for school leaders to plan, implement and evaluate programmes and activities of the relevant bureaus.  Awang Haji Jumaata Sanadey bin Haji Mornie, the Principal of Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School was appointed as the President of the Brunei Darussalam School Leaders Council for the First Session of 2017.  Meanwhile, Haji Ismail bin Haji Zainal, the Principal of Secondary Schools, Cluster 2 said there were specific criteria in the selection of the committee members.
