Prime Minister Expresses Condolences over Terrorist Attacks in Brussels

VIENTIANE, LAOS
Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong on March 23, 2016 sent a message of condolences and sympathies to the Prime Minister of Belgium.
The message addressed to the Kingdom of Belgium Premier Charles Michel read:
“We have learned with deep sorrow about the tragic event that occurred at the Zaventem Airport and Maelbeek Metro inBrussels on March 22, 2016, as the barbaric act perpetrated by the terrorists against Belgium claimed several lives as well as left many people injured.
On behalf of the government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, we would like to express our deep condolences and sympathies to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Belgium as well as to the bereaved families affected by this act of violence.
Laos strongly condemns the Brussels terror attacks targeted against the civilian people and stands ready to cooperate with the international community in the fight against terrorism in all its forms.”
