His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Deputy Sultan, and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman yesterday afternoon watched the 25th Brunei Age Group Swimming Championship. The championship took place at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex Swimming Pool in Berakas.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also in attendance were His Royal Highness' children, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman.  In this championship, His Royal Highness' son, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim took part in the 50 metres butterfly stroke. Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Abdul Muntaqim managed to break his own record from 51.97 seconds to 50.07 seconds. More than 300 swimmers representing 14 teams from the country as well as those from Indonesia, Labuan, Sabah, Sarawak and Miri are taking part in the championship. The 25th Brunei Age Group Swimming Championship will resume tomorrow and the following day at the same venue.
