Barca in talks with PSG for Verratti; Hart's Manchester return to United?

PSG's Marco Verratti could be set for a move to Barcelona, with the two clubs already in contact.

Barca in talks with PSG for Verratti

A report from Mundo Deportivo kicks things off linking Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti with a move to Barcelona. The outlet suggests that the two clubs have already held talks and that the Italy international's agent has twice been spotted at the Nou Camp in recent weeks.

Barcelona had a front-row seat to watch the talented 24-year-old in action in their Champions League round-of-16 meeting, with Verratti the creative force in a 4-0 first-leg win at the Parc des Princes, before the Catalans' historic comeback in the return leg.

Much of what the La Liga powerhouse does this summer will revolve around who succeeds Luis Enrique in the dugout, but with the club's long-serving midfield maestro Andres Iniesta -- who has backed Verratti as a fit for the club -- seemingly nearing the twilight stages of his Barca career, a move for Verratti could make sense.

Man United consider Hart move

If Manchester United are unable to convince David De Gea to remain at Old Trafford this summer, the Red Devils will consider making a move for Manchester City's out-of-favour Joe Hart, according to the Irish Independent.

After a season on loan with Torino in Italy, the 30-year-old keeper reportedly would prefer to move back to the northwest of England. And with De Gea potentially being lined up to become Real Madrid's No. 1, there may be a vacancy for Hart to move across town.

The England international is on wages of £120,000 a week and Torino have been quoted a fee of £15 million to make his deal permanent, but the Italian club can afford neither. Everton are the bookies' favourites, but should United suddenly find themselves short a keeper, the former Man City man could be called upon to join the red half of Manchester.

However, the Telegraph writes that De Gea has not informed the English club of a desire to join Los Blancos, despites reports in Spanish media on Friday suggesting the 26-year-old had already agreed personal terms with Madrid. That would be bad news for Hart, as it would mean there isn't any room for him in Manchester, after all.

Man United could spend £400 million this summer

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has reportedly told Sky Sports that Manchester United are willing to spend up to £400m this summer. Who could Jose Mourinho recruit with that amount of money?

According to The Star, the list is a lengthy one.

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, Atleti keeper Jan Oblak, Chelsea attacker Willian, Monaco full-back Benjamin Mendy, Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, Torino forward Andrea Belotti and Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane have all been targeted for switches to Old Trafford, the English outlet reports.

If Mourinho does intend to land all seven targets, he may indeed need to spend a sum approaching a half-billion pounds.

Tap-ins

- In-demand Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk has revealed an interest to play for Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, according to the Manchester Evening News. That revelation gives City the inside track over fellow-suitors Chelsea and Liverpool, as Guardiola plans a defensive overhaul at the Etihad this summer.

- John Terry would be an ideal signing for Bournemouth when he leaves Chelsea, the south coast club's midfielder Harry Arter has said. Terry will leave Stamford Bridge in the summer after 22 years and is available on a free transfer.

- Even if Fulham don't win promotion to the Premier League this season, the London Evening Standard reports that Chelsea loanee Tomas Kalas is keen for a stay at Craven Cottage. The 23-year-old has made 34 appearances in the Championship this season and called a permanent move to Fulham the "perfect scenario."

"We're in touch with Fulham and Chelsea and we're sorting out my situation for next season," he told BBC Radio London.
