Girl lovingly holding ‘potato’ wins the internet

A little girl’s love for a ‘potato’ has melted so many hearts that she almost broke the internet.

Her mum Sumaiyyah was shopping with her when she stopped in the fruit and veg aisle to look at something which caught her eye.

‘Mummy can you take a picture of me holding this potato?’

So she did, and the resulting photo cradling the vegetable like it was a precious baby has now been shared thousands of times after she posted it on Twitter.

Because look at her.

It’s the cutest thing of the day, the month, possibly 2017.

Explaining the photo later, Sumaiyyah said actually it wasn’t a potato, but her daughter thought it was.

It’s a celeriac, but whatever its technical name was, it received a full beam dose of love.

No-one can take the cuteness…
