The Magistrate’s Court yesterday adjourned a case in which four individuals are accused in the murder of a local man at the Kuala Lurah Control Post on January 2017.
Moryadi bin Haji Raya, 42 and Yusree bin Haji Yaakub, 38, allegedly murdered Haji Aziz bin Haji Johara on or about January 12, 2017 between midnight and 12:15am at the control post.
Supariddin bin Haji Mat Jinin, 45 and Haji Tuah bin Haji Tarip, 54, alleged to have abetted Moryadi and Yusree the murder by instigating a group of persons including Moryadi and Yusree to gather at the control post to cause injuries to Haji Aziz, which is sufficient in the ordinary course of nature to cause death.
Haji Tuah meanwhile is alleged to have abetted the murder by informing the whereabouts of Haji Aziz to the members of the group, whom he knew wanted to cause injuries to Haji Aziz.
Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman fixed the case for further mention on June 6, 2017.
Deputy Public Prosecutors Shamsuddin bin Haji Kamaluddin, Sharon Yeo, and Siti Nurjauinah binti Haji Kula appeared on behalf of the Public Prosecutor.
Moryadi and Supariddin are represented by defence counsel Sheikh Noordin Sheikh Mohammad, meanwhile Yusree is being represented by defence counsel Ahmad Zakaria and Haji Tuah by defence counsel Rudi Lee.
