​Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al Islam, Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force was conferred the Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang or the Distinguished Service Order, D.S.O by His Excellency, Doctor Tony Tan Keng Yam, President of the Republic of Singapore today at the Istana State Room.
During the same day of the conferment ceremony, Dato Paduka Seri Hj Mohd Jammy made courtesy calls on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong; Minister, Prime Minister's Office, and the Second Minister in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of National Development, Mr Desmond Lee and Commissioner of Police (CP) Dato Paduka Seri Hoong Wee Teck. Instituted in 1968, the Distinguished Service Order (DSO) is awarded to any person who has performed any act or series of acts constituting to distinguished conduct within and in special circumstances, outside Singapore. Dato Paduka Seri Hj Mohd Jammy was awarded the DSO in recognition of his role in strengthening the strong bilateral ties between the Royal Brunei Police Force and Singapore Police Force.
