TelBru Moving Forward with LoRa Technology
The official signing of Memorandum of Understand (MoU) between TelBru and Sagemcom

As the main telecommunications provider in the country, Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) is moving forward to facilitate alternative resources of technological assurances with the introduction of long-range, low-powered,low-bandwidth and low-cost sensors.
TelBru unveiled ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) during the Open Day which was held at Indera Kayangan Ballroom, The Empire Hotel and Country Club.
The initiative is of the Open Day was with the support and the cooperation of LoRa Alliance through one of its founding members, Sagemcom, that has already made its mark in Europe, the United States, New Zealand and Japan.
TelBru has already deployed five LoRa base stations in the Brunei-Muara District, with a coverage radius that encompases the entire district and even out to sea.
The introduction gives potential business opportunities for the tech-savvy segment of Brunei’s Population in development of mobile applications to address the challenges that requires attention.
TelBru Open Day also featured a presentation regarding IoT which was presented by the Chief Marketing Officer of TelBru Lim Ming Soon along with a live IoT showcase and demo.
Also it was followed by the signing of an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between TelBru and Sagemcom which was signed by Chief Executive Officer David Kay on behalf of TelBru while Sagemcom was represented by Dr Lestable.
