​A local man was fined two thousand dollars or two imprisonments in default after pleading guilty for in possession customs contraband items.

Mohamad Rizal bin Haji Md Yassin, aged 35, was found guilty of possessing 64 packets of various brands of cigarette during an inspection at a house in Kampong Tungku Indigenous Landless Scheme in Gadong. Mohamad Rizal was ordered to pay 200 dollars monthly starting end of this month. All the contraband items were confiscated to be destroyed.
