By the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam, Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, 18 officers were presented with their insignias at a promotion ceremony this morning. The ceremony was held at the Officers' Mess in Bolkiah Garrison.

Present was Retired First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, Deputy Minister of Defence. The 18 officers were presented with their respective insignias by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the RBAF. 15 officers were promoted to Acting Lieutenant Colonel and 3 officers were promoted to Acting Commander. Also present were Retired Captain Abdul Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, Services commanders; directors, Commandants; senior officers and officers of the Ministry of Defence as well as family members of the promoted officers.
