400 'bubur lambuk' or porridge was distributed yesterday to more than 60 people from underprivileged families registered under the Community Welfare Council in the Brunei Muara District for breaking the fast.
The assistance project portrays the support of the Community Welfare Council to lessen the plight of the underprivileged in celebrating the month of Ramadan. Members of the public also took part in the project by donating basic necessities as well as financial assistance. In an interview with a Community Welfare Council's executive member, the donations will be opened for 10 days. Recipients expressed their gratitude for the assistance they received.
