Ramadan is a month that is filled with blessings, and Muslims are encouraged to increase their acts of worship. The arrival of Ramadan is further enlivened with the Sunat Tarawih prayer and Tadarus Al-Quran at mosques, suraus, religious halls and private homes across the country.

Last night, RTB Crew takes a closer look at religious activities and events at several mosques in the country. The Sunat Tarawih prayer at the 'Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital was led by Awang Muhammad Abdul Haziq bin Hanafi, a student of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. During the holy month of Ramadan, the muslim ummah are recommended to perform the Sunat Terawih prayer towards reaping multiple rewards from Allah the Al-mighty.

While at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kiarong, the Sunat Tarawih prayer was led by Awang Muaz Azizi bin Shamshir, also a student from the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. That was followed with the Tadarus Al-Quran, which commenced with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha bin Haji Murad. In the Belait district, the Sunat Terawih and Witir prayers were also performed at the Jamalul Alam Mosque, Pekan Seria Mosque and Zainab Mosque.
